Andrea is a partner in the real estate unit of L'Estrange & Brett. She qualified in England and spent eight years working for a leading City of London firm, Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw before returning to Northern Ireland in 1996. She specialises in retail, investment and development work and, in particular, commercial leases and shopping centre developments. She has acted for the developers of the shopping centres at Forestside, Lisburn Square, Diamond Centre, Coleraine and Kings Square Shopping Centre amongst others.

Andrea also specialises in construction matters, with particular experience in drafting construction documents such as building contracts, collateral warranties and appointments. She has particular experience of PFI Projects and has acted for both contractors and the public sector in connection with the construction documents for Laganside Courts, St. Genevieve's High School, Wellington and Balmoral Schools, Belfast Institute and Altnagelvin Hospital.

Andrea retains a practicing certificate for England and Wales as well as Northern Ireland and regularly acts for clients in both jurisdictions.

Andrea was named as a 'leader in the field' for construction and real estate in Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession 2008. The guide commends her for her hard work and efficiency, describing her as "enthusiastic, confident and very much to the point";clients say she "cuts through the waffle and gets to the salient points" and they "couldn't ask for more".
