Admitted as a solicitor in 2001 and became an associate in L'Estrange & Brett's corporate department in 2004.
Education:
The Queen's University of Belfast (LL.B and the Certificate of Professional Legal Studies).

Ciara joined L'Estrange & Brett as a trainee in 1999 and is now an associate in the firm's Construction & Projects Unit. As part of her training with the firm, Ciara was seconded to McCann FitzGerald Solicitors in Dublin, working in their banking department, where she was involved in a number of securitisations.

Ciara has extensive experience of PPP work and has advised both public and private sector clients in many of the PPP projects completed to date in Northern Ireland. She recently advised the Northwin Consortium on the East Down & Lisburn PPP Project which closed in April this year. The successful consortiums were made up of leading local corporates Grahams, O'Hare & McGovern and Farrans as well international construction company Bilfinger Berger. She has advised in many sectors including transport, education, accommodation and health.

Ciara has worked as a tutor at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in Belfast in the area of company law and is the co-author of the Northern Ireland chapter of a Practical Guide to PPP in Europe. The second edition of this publication has just been published and is available from www.cityandfinancial.com/pppeubk.

She is a member of the Company and Commercial Lawyers Group.
