Kieran McGarrigle

Kieran heads up the firm's corporate recovery and insolvency unit. He joined the firm from leading English firm, Eversheds LLP, where he worked in the corporate recovery and insolvency department. Prior to this, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Belfast as part of their business recovery services team.

Kieran has built up considerable experience in corporate recovery and insolvency related work. During his time at PwC, he had hands on experience of liquidations, receiverships and administrations. He continued to advise on such matters at Eversheds where he worked closely with leading insolvency practitioners in the North of England advising on the liquidation of Gill Aviation Limited, the disposal of Ivy Court Leisure Clubs Limited (in administration) and the restructure of Crouch Mining Limited. More recently, Kieran acted for the liquidators of Desmond & Sons Limited and the receivers Answercall Direct Limited. He continues to advise banks, insolvency practitioners and businesses on insolvency related issues.

Kieran was named as a 'leader in the field' for restructuring/ insolvency in Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession 2008 and was described as an 'enthusiastic and proactive' team leader, who takes a 'thoroughly hands-on role' in the group's leading deals. The guide also commends his 'responsive and practical skill' and 'willingness to discuss all options.'

Kieran is recommended by both the Legal 500 and the European Legal 500 for corporate recovery and insolvency related advice.
