Education:
The University of Dundee (LL.B Hons) and The College of Law, York (LPC).

Adrian is a Partner in L'Estrange & Brett's Corporate Department and leads the firm's Construction & Projects Group. He joined the firm in 1998 having completed his training with "magic circle" firm Allen & Overy. Prior to that he worked for Goldman Sachs in London.

Adrian advises Government bodies, lenders, consortia and contractors on major infrastructure schemes.

He has advised the private sector on schemes such as the Moyle Interconnector (linking electricity connections between Northern Ireland and Scotland), MOT2 (the £57 PFI upgrading of Northern Ireland's 15 vehicle test centres), C2k (the delivery of a managed ICT solution to over 1200 schools in Northern Ireland), the first BSF Project to close in the UK (Bristol Schools) and Laganside Courts. Adrian advised Invest NI on its new HQ PPP Project (the first scheme to be closed by the Strategic Investment Board) and is currently advising the SIB and the Belfast Education & Library Board on the largest PPP project in the UK's education sector with a capital value of £500m.

Adrian was named as a 'leader in the field' for PFI/PPP in Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession 2008. The guide describes him as 'eliciting superlatives from all corners of the market.' Two of his main qualities were considered to be his 'superb knowledge of the law relating to large projects' and his ability to negotiate in a way that 'enables him to get the point across without making the other person feel as though they have conceded it.'
