1. Randox Laboratories Limited
Randox Laboratories Limited is a key Northern Ireland based client in the clinical diagnostic sector. The firm's advice has ranged from research and development sponsorship/funding arrangements to strategic joint ventures and has, also, included reviewing product development and supply agreements, licensing arrangements and similar related agreements. In all of these structures the recognition, protection and exploitation of intellectual property has been critical.

2. Acquisition of the clinical trial services business of Galen Holdings plc by Dr Allen McClay
The firm acted for Dr Allen McClay, the founder and former chairman of Galen Holdings, on the acquisition of the clinical trial services business of Galen Holdings plc for a purchase price of £130m. The firm advised Dr McClay on the intellectual property aspects of this transaction as regards the assignment and licence back of certain intellectual property rights of Galen Holdings prior to the sale of the business.

3. Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland ("OSNI")
The firm was appointed to provide legal services to OSNI in 2002. We have advised on their present licensing and associated terms and given general advice in relation to copyright, trade marks and database rights including connected ownership and exploitation issues related to such intellectual property.
