2. Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd
Andrea McIlroy-Rose leads the team advising Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd in its large expansion programme throughout Northern Ireland. She acted for Sainsbury's in their acquisition of the existing supermarket business from Curleys Supermarkets at Oaks Centre, Dungannon and Kennedy Centre, Belfast, which included the development of a new store and petrol filling station at Kennedy Centre.

3. Ladbrokes
The firm advised Ladbrokes plc. on its acquisition of the Belfast based Eastwood Bookmaker's chain for a consideration of £117.5million, leaving Ladbrokes as the largest bookmaker's chain in Northern Ireland. Graham Piece lead the real estate team carrying out the due diligence on some 57 shops and office premises across Northern Ireland.

4. St Anne's Square

Andrea McIlroy-Rose is acting for Turnus Limited in its construction, development and leasing of the new St Anne's Square development in Belfast. The development will comprise 132 apartments, a 150 bedroom hotel, shops and restaurants, offices and a multi storey car park.

Dawson McConkey acted for John Hogg & Company Limited in relation to the recent disposal of its former industrial premises at Maldon Street, Donegall Road, Belfast to a local property developer for a substantial undisclosed sum. The sale follows on from Dawson having advised the client on the earlier disposals of properties at Montgomery Road, Belfast and Annsborough, Castlewellan.

7. Northern Ireland Office

Ian Huddleston acted for the Northern Ireland Office in the sale of surplus land at the site of the Juvenile Justice Centre in Rathgael, Bangor for £65 million. The sale was a result of the relocation of the Juvenile Justice Centre to new purpose built accommodation (for which the firm also advised) and incorporated complicated claw-back provisions.
