The firm advises arc21, a group of local councils, in the development of a waste management strategy, covering all aspects of environmental law and EU regulations.

2. Bord Gais Eireann
The firm advises BGE (UK) Limited (a subsidiary of Bord Gais Eireann) on the roll out of the North-West gas pipeline and on the more recent North-South pipeline. This project has involved the firm advising across a broad range of environmental, planning, policy and regulatory issues including the need to assist and advise on the implementation of amending gas legislation.

The firm advises BG Group and Premier Power Limited on a wide range of environmental issues including obligations in relation to contaminated land and on consents to discharge.

The firm advises Renewable Energy Systems on windfarm developments in Northern Ireland, including Altahullion and Lendrum's Bridge.

6. Scotland to Northern Ireland Gas Pipeline
The firm advised the project funders on the refinancing and buy out of this pipeline - the project follows a similar structure to the Moyle Interconnector using a not for profit purchasing mechanism financed through a bond issue.

7. Moyle Interconnector
The firm advised the project funders on local legal aspects of this project linking electricity connections between Scotland and Northern Ireland. This required complex advice in relation to regulatory, banking, property and commercial issues. The firm also advised the funders on the sale of the under-sea interconnector to a not for profit Trust (Team Northern Ireland) in a £136m deal funded by a bond issue on the capital markets.

8. Arcapita: Acquistion of Viridian Group plc
The firm provided local banking and regulatory advice to Dresdner, agent for a syndicate of lenders, which provided the senior and junior debt funding to Arcapita in connection with its public to private acquisition of Viridian Group plc, the Northern Irish electricity company.

9. Phoenix Natural Gas
The firm is currently acting for Phoenix Natural Gas on a major corporate restructuring to meet the unbundling requirements of the second gas directive and on the mutualisation of the high pressure transmission ipeline through a disposal of the pipeline to not for profit group, Northern Ireland Energy Holdings.
